My Latest Project

This very ordinary chair was given a little character this past week.  There were six chairs total.
Now they look like this.....

An adorable way to fix up an old chair and make it family friendly too.  These covers tie on in the back with cute little grosgrain bows in the back.  The welt makes them fit snug and stay in place.  The fabric is from a drop cloth, very inexpensive and durable.  The pleats are tailored but casual because of the fabric choice.   Simply untie the ribbon and through in the wash when they start looking a little dingy.  An iron isn't necessary either.  Love these.  This idea was from a great blog called Miss Mustard Seed.  She has other great ideas for using drop cloth to make slip covers and more.  Check it out.
